A month is defined by using either the solar or lunar calendar. I am referring to the solar calendar. It is commonly known as the Gregorian calendar. The term “favorite” is associated with something frequently chosen or held in high regard among others, making it a significant choice. The Gregorian calendar, which is widely used today, is often considered the practical option. Personally, my favorite month is December, as it is linked to holidays, particularly for Christians celebrating Christmas, alongside various festivities.
Although Muslims do not typically celebrate this holiday, there are often holidays and breaks in the work schedule. These breaks frequently affect me. In December, holidays occur, particularly during the Christmas season when many Christian families celebrate these traditions at home. While I may not actively participate in the celebrations, those holidays have become closely associated with my experiences, and I truly appreciate them.
December is also a month that brings celebrations for my birthday. This has deeply influenced my affection for this month, as I often celebrate my birthday during this time. Typically, I enjoy dining out with family or friends, creating meaningful connections that have been cherished since childhood.
Christmas is strongly linked to Christianity, and my birthday also falls in December, a month filled with various events. We usually gather as a family, often sharing meals outside, especially during dinners with an assortment of seafood. These occasions have been ingrained in my life since childhood and continue to hold significant meaning for me.
In conclusion, I’ve discovered that December is consistently associated with quality time spent with my parents and family members, filled with good food, conversations, and strengthening our relationships. I am uncertain how long this will continue, as I feel that I am gradually drifting away from the closeness of my childhood.
