Unlocking Good Deeds: How Small Actions Matter

What can I do differently?
  • “Could” can be understood as a potential percentage that indicates the actions needed to transform the situation into something different from its previous state. The situation should be distinct from the current one, which could be significantly better or worse. In relation to “could,” it implies making an effort or at least striving to improve in a particular area.
  • The term “you” refers to the writer of this post or article, presented as a blog on the WordPress platform. In this context, “you” is synonymous with “I,” as I share my opinion based on the writing prompt. Referring to “you” may denote the person overseeing the writing based on the current author’s name or another individual assigned for this task.
  • “Could” signifies an action taken by humans that can result in either positive or negative outcomes for themselves or others. It represents an act of doing that involves physical actions using hands, legs, speech, body, mouth, or other parts of the body for communication. This reflects the human soul engaging with the body to execute those actions.
  • “Differently” describes the diverse nature of human lives and other living beings that are not alike in terms of conditions, such as age, status, characteristics, and behaviors. When differences exist, individuals possess their own choices, opinions, or purposes that set them apart from others in their surroundings. Numbers typically differ from one another starting from zero to nine, with each increment being unique.
  • One way I can act differently, particularly in terms of doing good, is by assisting those in need. This could involve helping an older person or a child who lacks strength and understanding. By offering my help, perhaps by performing their tasks for a while, I not only enhance their well-being but also find peace in my heart. Assisting a child in need of something, like drink or food, can stop their crying and also aid the family, particularly the children, in comprehending their parents better.
  • Additionally, I could contribute to charity by donating some money to worthwhile causes. This might include supporting children, the organization UMMA, Samsung Global Goals, and numerous other non-profit organizations. These entities provide assistance to individuals with necessities like food, drink, shelter, and more. Most importantly, food and drink supply vital nourishment to those in need, especially children. Kids facing conflict, particularly those living in wartime, greatly require such charity. Furthermore, the Quran emphasizes the importance of believers giving zakah and engaging in charity, which not only lightens the burdens of others but also benefits oneself.
  • Lastly, I could participate by crafting positive messages and writings that inspire people to engage in good deeds, as I previously mentioned, which includes aiding those in need and safeguarding vulnerable individuals who require assistance. This may apply to anyone from children to the elderly. Those who are immobile or ill need support, as this can alleviate their suffering and burdens.
  • In summary, performing good deeds is strongly encouraged as it benefits both others and ourselves. The Prophet (saw) urges his Ummah to show kindness and support to those in need. This focus is largely on donating to reputable organizations that help those who are less fortunate.
