The term “favorite” refers to the things you frequently like that hold more value than others, setting them apart. Typically, being a favorite means you develop a true attachment to it, beyond anything else with similar traits. A favorite can be something cherished due to its significance, creating an emotional bond when focused on consistently.
An animal is a living entity that breathes oxygen like humans but has distinct characteristics and functions. Animals primarily have sharp claws for land, while aquatic creatures like fish generally possess sharp teeth. These features are essential for consuming suitable food, whether flesh, meat, or plants.
My favored animal happens to be a cat, as I have had a long-standing connection with these creatures. When one cat passes away, a new cat often arrives to take its place. The newcomers display various colors, spanning a spectrum of orange, black, white, and mixed hues. Cats typically appear quite adorable and frequently vocalize when their owners are nearby.
Each day, my mother, the owner, consistently provides food for this stray cat, which we leave behind when appropriate for them to eat. If she forgets to feed them, I occasionally step in when I notice the cats are in need. There are actually five cats—both male and female—colored orange, white, and black. The four cats reside in a cage, as they are often disturbed by other stray cats that come around.
One particular black cat always roams outside, wandering and sleeping. When the owner steps outside, this cat consistently follows them to nearby locations. While this black cat appears obedient, it is sometimes linked to unfortunate occurrences. Occasionally, the cat urinates in inappropriate spots inside the building, and it seems that no warning has been given before this happens.
These are some of the aspects of animals I find unpleasant; I lack the knowledge on how to teach them a lesson. I tend to focus on my emotions, like gently pushing them away when they’re close to me. This can sometimes lead to worry, especially if it seems they want to urinate nearby. In truth, I don’t really have feelings of love or fondness for animals, as I perceive them to be somewhat unsafe to be around.
I recognize the importance of caring for animals, similar to Abu Hurairah, who had a cat that helped protect its home. I understand how to treat cats well, but this black cat with a short tail sometimes evokes negative feelings in me due to its behavior. I respect animals for their capabilities and intelligence, yet their instincts remind me that they are not human.
To conclude, my preferred animal has consistently been cats. Initially, I was fearful of them because of their teeth and claws. They also possess remarkable speed when they run. Over time, as I matured, these cats no longer intimidated me; there were moments when I would pet them to comfort them, and I have always felt a deep affection for them. This illustrates my love for cats and my commitment to treating them kindly and compassionately.
