The Importance of Names: A Journey to Peaceful Identity

  • The word “if” denotes a choice one might have to make regarding the truthfulness of a statement. Its function is to establish conditions connected to true or false claims. Thus, a person must select the most appropriate option related to the term “if.”
  • “You” refers to the writer of the blog or article, who is credited with the authorship. The pronouns “I” and “me” typically represent the writer’s personal opinions and expressions concerning answers to daily writing prompts.
  • “Could” indicates the possibility of an action that someone may take, often linked to the likelihood of a certain outcome. It represents the potential value of someone’s work, based on the abilities or skills they possess or have inherited.
  • “Something” refers to a part or portion of an object that occupies a certain volume. This can be understood as half of an object used as a reference point for comparing it to another item.
  • “Named” signifies an object that exists in the world, which a person can perceive or experience. This object usually has a name, assigned based on individual knowledge, either before or after the term is used. Naming serves to identify the object for oneself and others.
  • “After” is a term that indicates what follows a particular event or occurrence. Typically, “after” is used when referring to a subsequent event relative to something that happened earlier.
  • “What” is a question word that seeks an answer about a specific topic. The use of “what” is common in research and methodology, aiming to yield better insights into the subject and the questions posed, which can subsequently be documented.
  • “Would,” as per the context of a copilot search, aims to denote or reference an object mentioned earlier or later. The word “would” implies consideration of those previously mentioned objects as results or consequences.
  • “It” functions as another term referring to the word that directly precedes it, asserting its intent related to the object following thereafter.

If I could have something named after me, what would it be? This question is quite challenging to answer because it involves me potentially hurting others’ feelings. Names are typically given by parents, and changing a name can imply a new meaning that contradicts the original intent behind it. However, I used to name myself after something new and remarkable, influenced by gaming and history. I believe the best name to take after my real name, bestowed by my parents, is Salem. The word “Salem” itself means peaceful in Arabic and carries significant meaning in other languages when translated.

By incorporating the name Salem, it evokes a sense of Isnizal as someone peaceful, embodying non-violence and social harmony. When others mention this name, I feel a sense of pride, and listeners can grasp its peaceful connotation without any association to warfare. The name I have chosen reflects positive traits that promote a peaceful life with others. Isnizal Z. Salem or Isnizal Salem represents a harmonious blend of my given name and the new name I have selected.

Selecting a name that is not related to war is essential, as names like “Lance” may evoke feelings of instability or deception. I realize now that my previous choice stemmed from ignorance and a desire to follow others, leading me into uncertain territory. I have learned from these mistakes and now understand the importance of being responsible in my choices, ensuring that the names I select do not create problems for myself and my family.

In conclusion, selecting a name with a positive meaning is not only advisable but also aligns with the principles of Islam, as such names can have a profound impact both on the individual and on others who understand their significance. When a name is used and recognized, it can inspire others to consider its meaning for their own children, ultimately contributing to a better society. Doing good is not merely a requirement, but is genuinely encouraged, as one person can set an example for themselves and others. I welcome your likes and comments on thoughts that you believe could benefit both myself and others.
