The character I would choose to embody from J.R.R. Tolkien’s “The Lord of the Rings” is Aragorn. His characteristics illustrate a positive perspective throughout both the book and the film. This is evident in his bravery during various scenes, particularly when he is a lone ranger journeying across different lands. His background is inconsequential compared to his admirable qualities, such as kindness, honesty, and loyalty, which make him stand out above others. Aragorn is also recognized as the main character and is the heir of Isildur. His survival skills are exceptional among humans, demonstrated by his ability to find food and water independently, without relying on others for assistance.

During the War of the Ring, Aragorn emerges as the leader, guiding his friends in the Fellowship as they journey to various locations, ultimately aiming to help a hobbit carry the Ring to the mountain where it can be destroyed. He possesses remarkable strength and power, particularly excelling in combat against their foes. During discussions in the Elven stronghold, he vows to protect the Ring-bearer from any threats and evil forces that seek the Ring. A conflict arises in that place as other allies join in to shield the Ring-bearer from danger and accompany them on their quest to destroy the Ring in the mountain.

In a scene, Aragorn rescues the ring bearer from danger in a shadowy location inhabited by a group of malevolent elven kings who desire the ring for themselves, as it was originally forged by their kind. During the encounter, the shadow defeated the ring holder just as Aragorn arrived to save them. He even managed to defeat the shadow before it fled the scene. This scene illustrates Aragorn’s bravery and strength in protecting others through his own skills, as well as his inherited abilities from his predecessors.

At the elf stronghold, the sword was indeed broken during the Battle of Saruman, but the elf leader was renowned for his ability to reforge swords. He restored the sword and presented it to Aragorn, the rightful bearer. Additionally, the elf leader assisted Aragorn in amassing an army by visiting the tomb of the undead. Here, he forged alliances with the undead, promising their freedom in exchange for military support by breaking the chains that bound them to this world. During the battle, the undead aided Aragorn in defeating the evil wizard’s forces attempting to conquer the human faction. His leadership in this conflict positioned him as the commander of the undead, securing victory in the war.

In conclusion, the character of Aragorn demonstrates superior qualities due to his network of friends, skills, companions, and spouse. He manages to unite the alliance by offering assistance and sharing his knowledge of warfare, taking on the role of a leader among the Elves. This positions Aragorn as not only a leader of humans but also of the undead and Elves. His presence makes him one of the most formidable characters in the game, known for showing mercy to his enemies and striving for peace before engaging in battle. I discovered that Aragorn is genuinely admirable, inspiring humility even among his friends. Please share your thoughts on what you believe Aragorn’s characteristics are, as I formed this opinion while watching certain scenes on YouTube, not recalling the entire movie.
