- Fame is defined as being a well-known person by others, which can depend on their relationships, friends, family, wealth, social status, and more. Typically, individuals come to know this person through social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and others that are commonly used for social interaction and expression in everyday life. For instance, a prominent figure, such as the prime minister of a country, is regarded as well-known due to their large following, thereby categorizing them as a famous person in the country. In contrast, an infamous person is generally seen as the opposite of a famous one.
- Infamous individuals are often deemed the best because they provide an interesting perspective that is different from that of famous people. Recently, there was a reconnection with an old friend at their sister’s wedding and a celebration for a friend’s firstborn. It was delightful to greet him and his father upon entering their hometown. Many years had passed since the last meeting, and the warm greetings were memorable. He is considered a non-infamous person from a middle-income family who uses his earnings to support his own family. Congratulations were extended for both his marriage and the birth of his son.
- A long-standing friendship exists since childhood, particularly in primary school. Classmates shared enjoyable times through entertaining activities during weekends. These weekends were filled with laughter. They also worked in the village to earn some money. Despite the low pay, those memories are cherished for the immense value they hold in life. Being invited to celebrate the birth of a child and sharing a meal was a wonderful reunion that was cherished since the time apart had been long.
- While he may not be the best friend ever had, there is an effort to be positive influences on one another and to rekindle the silaturahim from the past. Other friends met during this time are also wonderful, and these invitations facilitate reconnection and teach patience (sabr) when faced with difficulties.
- The reunion feels both good and bad because there was no intention to see him again, especially with ongoing work commitments and plans for future marriage, which requires financial stability and settling debts, as is obligatory for every Muslim. Having good friends proves to be incredibly beneficial and hopeful most of the time.
