The Olympic sports I enjoy the most are athletics, swimming, and badminton. During my childhood and teenage years, I frequently participated in these activities. I was especially active during school events. I also participated in outdoor gatherings with family or friends. One of my most vivid memories is from a primary school sports event, where I showcased my athletic abilities and earned a medal for my house, competing against other houses at that time. Those experiences have left a lasting impression on me and shaped my mindset and skills during those years. Athletics involves running on the track, either as part of a team or individually, particularly in events like the 100 meters. However, I felt my performance wane, especially in the baton relay, where I didn’t achieve the desired results. This passion for sports also led me to watch athletic competitions on television, especially when the Olympic games were broadcasted in Malaysia.

The next sport is swimming, where I used to watch boys and girls perform this activity on television by diving from high platforms into the water. They skillfully employ various techniques and utilize their entire bodies to create minimal splash upon entering the water from great heights. Some athletes are known to execute multiple movements in the air before descending under the force of gravity into the water. I find it hard to understand how they achieve this due to my lack of experience with swimming events. I only recall watching these competitions where China consistently won the most gold medals, thanks to their impressive performance and skillful displays that made them stand out.

The Olympic sport that I enjoy watching the most is badminton. From my research on Wikipedia, I discovered that badminton was just recently introduced as an Olympic sport, unlike the ancient sports of Greece. Malaysia is successful in winning gold medals in badminton. Notable players like Lee Chong Wei have gained great fame. He competed against strong opponents from countries like China. He has led Malaysia in badminton, which is recognized both nationally and possibly worldwide. I have developed an appreciation for this sport in recent years. During my teenage years, I watched badminton events featuring him. I admired the incredible skills displayed at the Olympics. Although I didn’t know at the time whether he participated in the Olympic events, I remember him competing against players from China.

In conclusion, the Olympic sport I most enjoy watching is one that showcases remarkable skills and competition among players from various countries. However, many Muslims may be hesitant to watch such sports due to the presence of different genders displaying their awrah during the games. I recognize and understand that these Olympic events are typically hosted by countries that do not adhere to Islamic principles. Due to these factors, I find myself less inclined to watch the Olympics now, although I have enjoyed watching these sports in the past.
