I believe in soulmates, which according to my current research, refers to a spouse in the Islamic faith. My belief in this concept stems from the Quran, which teaches that Allah created humans in pairs rather than as individuals, with both partners sharing feelings for one another. Although I didn’t initially know much about the idea of soulmates, I’ve come to understand that a deep bond exists between husband and wife, where they trust each other and grow closer to Allah. This relationship requires effort, as both partners must nurture their connection daily to foster feelings of closeness and care. Having a soulmate is seen as a decree from Allah for every person, as most people are destined to have a spouse in their lives.

I believe soulmates bring happiness to individuals by sharing key aspects such as wealth, trust, and other elements that foster a sense of belonging. Additionally, a spouse plays a crucial role in helping their partner recover from severe emotional distress, providing relief during challenging times. Partners consistently demonstrate care for one another; for instance, when one partner’s health declines, the other will attend to their needs by bringing essentials while they rest and recuperate. This creates moments of joy and strengthens their relationship, even in the face of impending loss. Soulmates can evoke deep emotional connections, to the extent that one partner may willingly cover medical expenses in hopes of seeing their loved one regain their health after an illness.

This undoubtedly comes at a significant cost, as financial challenges serve as a test for individuals striving to provide a better life for themselves. Typically, these challenges arise early in life, often at the brink of marriage, where relationships appear strong; however, over time, they can also flourish, particularly between spouses. From an Islamic perspective, I read about Sayyidatina Aisyah, the final wife of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), who remained with him until his death, sharing deep feelings during their earlier years, especially as the Prophet embarked on his mission of spreading Islam. The concept of soulmates is foundational for humanity, celebrating the bond that enhances interactions between men and women. Such relationships are crucial for family dynamics, as children thrive in an environment where parents love and care for one another, fostering a sense of responsibility for their behaviors.

In conclusion, I believe that everyone has a soulmate in their life, but due to certain circumstances and trials, things may not work out as intended. Personally, I have always remained patient in every situation regarding my soulmates, as they bring essential blessings and provisions into my life. However, I still find myself hesitant to seek a spouse, as I have other unresolved issues that prevent me from moving forward with finding a soulmate and fulfilling important aspects of my life, such as following the Sunnah of the Prophet (saw).
