Hello everyone, I haven’t known much about Star Wars until recently when I started researching it and discovering who the key figures are. In fact, I wasn’t a fan of Star Wars during my childhood and teenage years, despite having the movies, as I found them uninteresting at the time. However, I’ve recently become aware of the Star Wars series through discussions in my social circle, where names of characters sparked my curiosity. From what I’ve gathered, Emperor Palpatine is often seen as a dark force and is regarded as the founder of the New Republic, known for deceiving others to further his own empire and evil agendas. Interestingly, Darth Vader is actually considered the main hero of Star Wars, having been manipulated by Emperor Palpatine to command the New Republic’s army.
The question at hand is that Emperor Palpatine appointed Darth Vader as his successor to the Empire. I believe Luke Skywalker should be nominated as Darth Vader’s challenger. Based on my recent reading and research, particularly from sources like Wikipedia, I selected Luke Skywalker as the ideal opponent for Darth Vader due to their significant rivalry. Luke Skywalker serves as the main protagonist in several Star Wars films, where he has faced defeat at the hands of various dark side generals and commanders. Additionally, the name Luke Skywalker resonates with Anakin Skywalker, as they share not only a similar name but also parallels in their roles. Both characters are Jedi known for wielding lightsabers to combat their enemies.
Both of them are disciples of Master Wan Kenobi, who is recognized as the challenger to the empire of Emperor Palpatine and is known for being on the side of good. During the battle between Anakin and Master Wan Kenobi, Anakin lost his sanity and was defeated, ultimately betraying his own kind to align with the evil forces after being manipulated by Emperor Palpatine. This tragic story tells of a young boy trained and raised by his master to become a powerful Jedi, defeating many antagonists and becoming a hero and a symbol of good. However, this path came at a cost, as Anakin turned to evil due to his immaturity and susceptibility. Nevertheless, after being defeated by his own master in battle, Anakin survived and was revived and healed by the dark forces.
This led to Anakin Skywalker being transformed into Darth Vader, the commander of the dark forces and general of the army. Luke, the son of Anakin, who shares a similar surname, is known to be his enemy, representing the opposing side of the battle where Luke symbolizes good while Anakin embodies evil. The tragic conclusion to Anakin’s story is quite profound, as he is ultimately recognized as the father of the son who confronts and defeats him in a battle trained by his own master, Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi. This situation becomes a dramatic family reunion, even as the dark forces persist, exacerbated by the choices of others that prolong the raging war. In conclusion, by nominating Luke Skywalker, I have come to understand that he is the best challenger to his father, adding more drama to the ongoing storyline. Additionally, I observe that some family members have also been drawn into the dark side, resulting in a miserable conflict between them. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section.
