The thing I was completely obsessed with as a kid was thinking about various forms of entertainment, particularly different types of sports that involved a mix of outdoor and indoor activities. I explored many kinds of sports, such as football, badminton, traditional games, video games, and more. This passion began in my early primary school years when I was more captivated by playing than focusing on my studies. Every day at school, I would meet friends who were also looking for ways to entertain themselves, like playing games with each other. Although I might not consider these memories particularly useful, they are filled with tragedies and other experiences that have shaped me to this day. Most of this enthusiasm occurred during school hours, especially when there was time to chat and no teacher was present, allowing us to enjoy good conversations and exchange information with one another.

There was a time during my final year of primary school when attending tuition classes was essential for me to stay engaged with the subjects. After class, my friends and I usually headed to the football fields to play matches, often still in our school uniforms. I don’t remember the specific games, but I recall the enjoyment and fun we shared together before exams. I also played badminton with a special friend who trained me and guided me in exercising with the racket. It was intimidating at first, as everyone training there was older and much stronger than I was. However, it was entertaining to participate in sports with them, and some other friends joined in as well.

I recall discussing video games related to the PlayStation brand with a friend. He shared stories about a game on the original PlayStation console that involved dodging dinosaurs, combining elements of fun, nostalgia, and entertainment, albeit with a touch of exaggeration. Engaging in conversations like this was wonderful, as we both had topics to discuss, and he provided me with vivid descriptions of the games he played, which piqued my curiosity. Later, when I got my hands on the second version of the PlayStation, I exchanged items with classmates to play games at home. My friend lent me his game, and school became a place where I could borrow it to experience it myself. I discovered that while the game was entertaining for a brief moment, I soon returned it.

During my childhood, especially in the evenings when the sun was setting, I would often go outside to visit friends’ houses and play games, particularly sports. I also had the experience of riding my bicycle to higher grounds, like mountains. Often, I faced this adventure with trepidation since there weren’t any safe playgrounds for bicycle sports. There was a time when I had an accident while descending a hill, resulting in minor injuries. Trying out such activities felt brave to me, and I enjoyed showing off my skills to my friends; it was exhilarating to share those experiences together. Additionally, I was interested in outdoor sports related to fishing, where I would buy certain items at the tackle shop to help me find and catch fish. During those times, I only managed to catch a few small fish and occasionally some larger ones, but I often lost the fish I hooked in the water before I could reel them in.

In conclusion, the nostalgic memories of my childhood revolve around engaging in sports, both indoors and outdoors, where I spent time with friends participating in various activities. I always found that these experiences brought me joy and happiness. However, I now feel a sense of shame regarding my inability to relive those moments, as I have shifted my focus to indoor activities like writing and spending time in front of a screen. While this change has diminished my relationships with old friends, it has allowed me to gain valuable knowledge and information in specific fields. I also enjoy discovering new games to see if they are worth discussing. I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
