How I stay motivated when learning something new stems from my belief that acquiring information or knowledge is essential in a person’s life. As a Muslim, or as someone who follows the Sunnah of the Prophet (peace be upon him), the pursuit of knowledge—known in Arabic as “ilmu”—is regarded as a blessed path that leads to numerous rewards. There are Hadiths that emphasize the importance of learning something new or acquiring information on various subjects. I’ve found that my motivation to gain new knowledge is fueled by the desire to earn more rewards and to apply that knowledge practically in my everyday life. It is well-known that many of the Sahabah of the Prophet (peace be upon him) dedicated themselves to acquiring knowledge, particularly regarding the Quran and the teachings of the Prophet. The value of knowledge also depends on how it is utilized by the individual and shared with others. Personally, I consider sharing knowledge based on my objectives and the outcomes of that information sharing, especially in online contexts.

Most of the time when learning something new, I find myself overly eager to seek information, especially to address my daily challenges or issues that significantly affect my life. My problem-solving skills, particularly in relation to life, stem from a lack of understanding of certain matters that have caused turmoil for me in recent years. I recognize this need for understanding, particularly the characteristics exemplified by the Prophet Muhammad (saw), as a means to avoid conflicts resulting from my mistakes. By following the teachings and knowledge related to the circumstances of the Quran and Hadith, I can make better progress in life and adhere to Allah’s commands, inshallah.

It is widely acknowledged that when I am learning something new, finding the necessary information to solve problems becomes essential for me, as it helps prevent harm to myself and others. This pursuit not only equips me with valuable knowledge but also allows me to seek the sustenance that Allah provides to me and to every creature that exists. Furthermore, learning about new topics ignites my interest in the field, enabling me to stay updated with the latest developments. This is particularly relevant as certain knowledge evolves with different versions, making education crucial to avoid becoming obsolete in the future. I also firmly believe that acquiring knowledge is mandatory for Muslims, as it is through understanding that they can truly comprehend their Creator, especially in relation to Allah.

I am positively committed to engaging in certain activities that enhance my learning, especially when practicing the knowledge I acquire, so I can easily remember the information without forgetting it. This understanding allows me to process the information I receive and act upon it, which is considered a reward in Islam. In conclusion, learning is the essential path to success for anyone who seeks to strive, and it is encouraged across all religions, as humans often fall into wrongdoing without proper knowledge. To protect oneself from taking the wrong path, acquiring knowledge becomes a crucial avenue for success.
