The best piece of advice I have ever received actually came from my parent, and it is closely tied to the career path I chose—a path that affects both of us now and will likely continue to shape our future. Years ago, I decided to become a freelancer after failing to secure a job in the game industry or in other fields related to my university studies. My parent advised me to look for a different job, one that would be more stable and offer better prospects than the work I was doing at the time. For me, however, changing careers feels like a very costly decision, almost as demanding as enrolling in university all over again.

In my opinion, this is the most valuable advice I can offer, especially since I received little guidance from anyone outside my own family. It comes directly from my own experience and from watching others who have also struggled, who are less fortunate than me related to this life. Over the past few years, I have been consumed with worry about how to move forward, accomplish my goals, and avoid choosing the wrong career path. Early on, I did my best to find a job, but I received few responses from recruiters and often felt that I had failed to secure employment.

I did manage to get a job with a company some time ago, but eventually I was let go. They probably did not want to keep me because I ended up working outside the scope of my actual field. At first, I did not really understand what they were telling me, but after many years I realized my mistake: I had not followed their expectations or the goals they wanted me to achieve. This insight came with the help of AI (Artificial Intelligence), which has also helped me detect fraud in commercial activities, an area I used to struggle to understand.

Both of my parents actually gave me this piece of advice because they believed the job I chose would be difficult and that I might not be able to handle it, as they were not fully aware of my potential. From that time until now, I have realized how important it is to listen to others’ advice and to consider it carefully, especially since I believe this career field is highly competitive. I may not know everything, but with the tools available today, I will make full use of them and apply my abilities as best as I can to achieve good results for myself and others. From my experience, especially during my university enrollment, it has been challenging because I have had to complete all the assignments that were given to me.

These were supposed to help me get a job in the industry I want, but I still have not received any responses. Until now, I have tried to stay focused and avoid anything negative that might affect my future and cause me to fall back into the same patterns as before. Because of this, I have chosen this advice as the best for me, especially since I no longer have a large social circle and do not receive much advice from others anymore. I now realize that I used to have that circle, but I made a big mistake by following things I should not have.
