Family Trip: Cousin Marriage

The longest trip that I used to take part is family trip. That is going to my cousin’s marriage in another part of the state in Malaysia. I visited different kinds of places, especially in the northeast of Malaysia. My father and I were actually sitting together on the bus that the company rented for us. I still remember that trip since I have kept those pictures until today. It hold some memorable events for other family members to see again. It was also the longest trip that I had ever taken in my life, where I spent several weeks away from my home in another new place.

Family Trip: Visit Building

One of the places that I still remember visiting, we know as Crystal Mosque, or Masjid Kristal in Bahasa. We actually visited this place in the afternoon to evening so we could see other visitors there as well. Non-Muslims who enter need to wear some special clothes, while Muslims can enter normally. The mosque itself sits beside the water. That visit truly stands out for me, especially during my younger adult age after the transition from my teen years. I also kind of remember how small my cousin was but now has grown up much bigger than before.

Family Trip: Market

During the trip to visit my cousin’s marriage, I also had the chance to see the marketplace that sells a variety of items. One of the most common snacks you can find there is keropok lekor, which people actually eat as a tasty food. People make keropok lekor from a combination of fish, and they process it together with other ingredients to make it tastier. Not only that, they also use some of that fish to make other crunchy snacks that you can enjoy everywhere. At the time, my mother actually bought some big packs of keropok lekor snacks, which she gave to my other cousin.

The Beach

One day, there was a time when my mother and her siblings took a photo near the beach. This also happened in the afternoon, when I spent time there looking at the rough sea. The beach itself was not suitable for swimming or playing on the sand. That was because of the strong waves coming in and out that could easily drag people out. The wind at the time was also gentle enough that you could relax there happily, and we enjoyed some food near the beach. There were also other people walking around while I took pictures of my parents enjoying the environment and good moments.

Conclusion on Family Trip

In conclusion, my family trip was the longest trip I ever went on in my lifetime, and I spent that time with my family. Since then, I have not gone on any kind of long trip, because I spend most of my time in front of the screen. Before that, I used to play some Game Boy games on my smartphone, like PokéMon, which I played on an emulator. Today, I no longer play those because the law does not permit it. So I now spend most of my time either at home or at work. I still hold on to those memories of other family members and the fun we used to have together.
