Self-Care: The Best Time

Self-Care: Overview

The time I manage to make for self-care is during the early morning and the early evening. This happens in the morning, usually at 4:00 AM. I found out that this time in the early morning is the most suitable time to do several things, including the sunnah prayer. Before that, I will jump out of bed and head straight to the bathroom. For me, 4:00 AM is the best time since fewer people are using the bathroom and most people are still asleep. In the evening, I use the time up until at least 6:00 PM, when I usually head to the bathroom for a bath after working up a sweat.

Self Care: Following Sunnah

The common time I use is actually coming from high school, when I came back home and cleaned myself. I do this not only to clean myself but also to follow the Sunnah of prophet saw which every Muslim need to be clean. I also intend to trim the longer parts of my moustache so that it becomes tidy. When my hair is long enough, I eventually cut my hair short so that I look clean and take care of it. The most common time I do that kind of stuff is usually in the evening, which I find reasonable. When changing clothes to bathe, I always look for a mirror where I can trim and tidy up.

The Best Time for Self Care

In the morning, after waking up, I will go to the bathroom and turn on the water. After that, with soap, I will wash off any sweat and stains on my body. I also follow a routine, especially regarding my mouth, where I brush my teeth after waking up and before sleeping. The most suitable time is from 4:00 AM to 6:00 AM, which is common for me. In the evening, around 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM, I brush my teeth with some available toothpaste. In the morning, I also do some laundry related to my clothes so that I can keep myself clean almost every day.

Conclusion on Time for Self Care

In conclusion, I clean almost every day and clean myself twice, especially by going for a bath. In rare situations and circumstances, I will bathe only once a day; that is because of working overtime. Additionally, on special occasions like Friday, I will go for a bath earlier, before the afternoon, usually around 12:00 PM. I usually use this time to prepare myself for the Jumaah prayer, which makes bathing essential for Muslims before going to the mosque. I also apply some perfume, brush my teeth, wear clean clothes, and cut my nails short. So Friday is a really special day for me for self-care. Let me know what you think in the comments section.
